Part of Douglas Road to close for 30 days

SOUTH BEND -- A section of Douglas Road north of the University of Notre Dame will be closed to all vehicle traffic starting Tuesday and lasting about 30 days.

More information needed in homicide of 19-year-old

The night of May 28, 1994, South Bend police and medics responded to a 911 call of a shooting at 265 N. Kenmore St. A woman there reported she was inside the house with 19-year-old Ronald Ciesielski when three black males forced their way inside. Ciesielski was shot in the head and collapsed in the hallway. Medics tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
