Efforts to ban the plates during the legislative session failed. But a letter from a group of Republican senators prompted the BMV to investigate and find that the youth group and two others had violated their specialty plate contracts by offering low-numbered plates for additional fees.
Advance America founder Eric Miller says the BMV move to revoke the youth group's plate is a victory for his cause, but he still wants the plates banned outright.
