PLYMOUTH—
Plymouth High School sophomore Cody Poczik got his driver’s license this week.
Thursday night he crashed his car on 12th Road in Marshall County, killing himself and his passenger, his friend Hunter Brandt.
Police say the cause of the crash … excessive speed.
From evidence at the scene, Cody’s car scraped along a guard rail, went airborne through a wooded area and struck several trees. WSBT’s John Paul walks the length of the scene in the attached video ... WSBT video ... a heartbreaking scene to see.
Late Thursday, many gathered at Plymouth Wesleyan Church to recall good times and good memories of Cody and Hunter.
Counselors from the high school were at the church to help the teens’ family and friends cope with the shocking loss.
