A Michigan City man faces federal child pornography charges as police search for more victims.
Michigan City Police say 46-year-old Brian Newman is in the aPorte County Jail accused of manufacturing and possessing child pornography and child exploitation with more charges expected.
Newman’s arrest stems from an FBI and local investigation dating back to September 2011. Police Sgt. Matthew Barr says several of Newman’s victims have been found across the country, and authorities expect to identify more.
Anyone solicited by a “Jerome Moore” or “Deandre Moore” through the Internet is being asked to contact Sgt. Barr at (219) 874-3221 extension 324.
Barr says “Jerome Moore,” the alias of Newman, also worked with a second suspect using the alias of “Mark Brown.” Police say Mark Brown claimed to be associated with a modeling agency to trick young girls.
