ST. JOSEPH COUNTY – Most people don’t think to worry about getting hit by arrows as they run errands. That’s why a woman was shocked Monday to find one sticking out the side of her car after driving down Capital Avenue.
St. Joseph County police received the call Monday afternoon. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, told WSBT she had turned north onto Capital Avenue from Jefferson Blvd and was driving by some fields when she heard a noise like a rock or bird hitting her car.
As she was driving she said a car full of people went by yelling and pointing at her car...but she didn't know what they were so concerned about.
It was only after she pulled in to a local product market that she saw the arrow and called police.
The responding officer said he has never seen anything like it...and took the arrow into evidence.
