ELKHART – Elkhart County police are asking for the public’s help in searching for an armed robber, who made off with some cash after holding up a Baugo Township gas station early Monday morning.
Around 2 a.m., a man walked into Smith’s Fast Food Mart and gas station at Old U.S. 33 and Ash Rd. Police say the suspect pulled out a black, semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the register.
He’s described as a black man, unknown age, wearing a dark hooded style sweatshirt, black baggy pants, black gloves, and a white mask covering his face.
He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was hurt.
