The number of people without electricity is going up and down like a yo-yo.
Early Sunday, Indiana Michigan Power reported nearly 2,500 customers had lost their power in St. Joseph, LaPorte and Berrien Counties due to what appears to weather-related.
At 10:45 a.m., the number was down to just over 200.
As of 12:55 p.m., all the outages in St. Joseph and Berrien Counties had been fixed. However, 640 homes and businesses were without electricity in LaPorte County, three times the original number, and 569 customers were under a blackout in Cass County, the latest area where outages were reported.
I&M has extra crews working on this Father's Day trying to fix the remaining outages.
