Two suspects were arrested after police searched a residence Wednesday morning and seized numerous pot plants and a pound of finished product.

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office investigated a residence in the 400 block of W. Shepard St., in Hartford, on the suspicion of distribution and manufacture of marijuana. After obtaining a search warrant, police raided the residence and discovered 24 pot plants, 1 pound of marijuana and a small amount of meth. In addition, police seized $1,650.

Two suspects were arrested, Monte Sisson, 40, of Hartford and a yet-to-be-named 37-year-old woman. The sheriff's office says they will be seeking various marijuana charges as well as maintaining a drug house for both at a later date.

Sisson had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear as well.

Child Protective Services also responded to the scene.
