Rabies cases increase in New River Valley
CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Rabies cases are increasing in the New River Valley.

Police identify body recovered from the New River
State Police have identified the body of a man who drowned in the New River last weekend.
Police say 27-year-old Virginia Tech student Kevin Ocampo-Arias drowned Sunday near McCoy Falls in Giles County.
His body was recovered early Monday afternoon.
