  3. Hampton Clean City Commission: Volunteers plant 450 trees along buffer at city landfill

    A total of 66 volunteers of all ages came out recently to plant 450 tree seedlings at Bethel Landfill in Hampton. The seedlings were planted in the buffer strip between the landfill and I-64. They were native evergreens with one exception, selected for their habitat value and their ability to help provide a screen between the landfill and the interstate.

    Perspective: A leading &ldquo;adult&rdquo; search engine reported in December that, over the last seven years, just two of the most popular Internet pornography websites it analyzes have been viewed 93 billion separate times, which averages to about 13 views for every person on Earth. Given the average viewing time of 11 minutes per visit, the search engine (PornWatchers.com) calculated that men (and a few women, of course) have spent about 1.2 million years watching pornography on just those two sites.
