1. Sign yields confusion at Whitehall intersection

Q: Who has the right-of-way? When you cross the Pine Street Bridge from Catasauqua to Whitehall Township, and take the first right turn immediately after you cross the bridge, the single lane from the bridge leads to a three-way intersection. You come...

  3. Con artists recycle old tricks, add a high-tech one

Michele Holota wishes she had never answered the phone that fateful day. If she hadn't, her computer wouldn't be fried right now. But when the phone rang and the caller ID said "Microsoft," she figured it might be important. What the caller told her...

  5. Lead-content warning in Whitehall confuses motorists

Q: I am wondering if you have looked into the signs that have been posted about not breathing or disturbing the dust around the construction area of the Hokendauqua-North Catasauqua Bridge in Whitehall Township. What exactly is going to come off that bridge that is so toxic? Also, are they shutting down the Ironton Rail Trail at the bridge? I use the trail frequently for jogging or biking, but I think I'll be avoiding it now, as I wouldn't want to be inhaling anything toxic while I'm exercising!

  7. A grating question: Were bridge grates installed upside-down?

Q: I am sure you have addressed this before, but I never saw an answer. We have always been told that the grates on the Hokendauqua-North Catasauqua Bridge were installed upside-down. I sometimes think this is an urban legend. How about it?

  9. A lights-out reopening for Pine Street Bridge in Catasauqua

Q: The Pine Street Bridge connecting Catasauqua and Whitehall Township was closed for repairs in March and reopened July 2. The improvements included replacing the lights, but that part of the project has been delayed. It's my understanding the lights will not be delivered for another four to six weeks, and that there will be lane closings and traffic delays when they're installed. Wouldn't it have been easier and safer to install the lights when the bridge was closed? Are the poles that special that it takes four months to deliver them, or did someone forget to order them?

  11. Schoenersville traffic signals seem to fade

Q: I live off of Macada Road in Hanover Township and I've noticed on numerous occasions as I'm waiting to turn left onto Schoenersville Road from the Route 22 off-ramp that cars routinely run the light (going southbound on Schoenersville) in front of the on- and off-ramps for 22. Its almost as if they don't see the light because they are focusing on the next light at Macada, Road which is only about 100 yards away.
