1. Facebook sites help families find wayward pets

Have you ever had beloved pets disappear?
Have you ever had beloved pets disappear? It's incredibly stressful. You find yourself imagining their terror, their confusion, all the dangers they're facing. You picture them hungry, thirsty, cold, injured. You search by car, on foot, by telephone,...

7. Signs would signal new traffic light ahead on Route 100

Q: I was wondering if there were plans to post signs or some type of signal cautioning drivers of the new traffic signal ahead on Route 100 south when approaching the Kernsville/Claussville roads intersection. The signal was in 'flash' mode for a while, but switched to the normal stop/go function Nov. 29. A temporary sign on 100 south alerts drivers of the new traffic pattern ahead, but I still was surprised when I came upon the fully operational signal. Many drivers pass when going up the hill, cutting off others in the course of merging back into one lane before the intersection. Adding stopped traffic to that area when the light is red will definitely make for an interesting commute.

11. Lehigh County commissioners deliver right vote, wrong message

For me, the low point of last Wednesday's Lehigh County commissioners meeting came as Commissioner Lisa Scheller was lecturing area nonprofits that they need to start tapping individual donors instead of just looking for government handouts.
