It's not enough to just foster arts programming in schools. The Shoreline Arts Alliance has hosted a juried comeptition and exhibition of student art for 30 years, and this year's exhibit opens Feb. 21 at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, in the Sill House Gallery. Students either living or attending high school in shoreline towns (Branford, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Durham, East Haven, East Lyme, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Madison, Middlefield, North Branford, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Salem and Westbrook) are eligible to compete for thousands of dollars in prizes, and the recognition a budding artist thrives on.
