          Down to their last strike and their last out in the super regional finale against UC Irvine, Virginia hung tough.  The Cavaliers trailed 2-1 in the ninth, but loaded the bases for Chris Taylor who hit a single back up the middle, scoring Mitchell Shiflett and Corey Hunt to win it 3-2.  The Cavaliers advance to Omaha for the College World Series for the second time in three years with their school record 54th win of the season.  Next up, a date with California on Sunday afternoon at 2pm in Nebraska.
