1. Alan Jackson's Next Album Returns To Gospel

<span style="font-size: small;">Alan Jackson is returning to the gospel scene, as he plans to release Precious Memories Volume II this month. Traditional hymns have always been a big part of the singer’s life, even before he recorded his first gospel album for his mother as a Christmas gift. Alan was singing songs in church as a child, which he says carried on throughout life. “I went on to sing as a teenager. They had some organizations and choirs, and I remember singing in those some. And those were some of the early development for me as a singer, and that was probably the early days of getting a little confidence as a singer. The church and the activities that went with it affected me as a singer.” The collection of traditional hymns is the follow-up to his 2006 album Precious Memories, which topped three Billboard charts the first week it was released - Top Country Albums, Top Christian Albums and Top Christian & Gospel Albums. Precious Memories Volume II will be available March 26th.

  19. Prayers in public offices

Ideally, governmental bodies would refrain from including prayers — even ecumenical, "lowest-common-denominator" ones — in their public proceedings. But if prayers are to be offered, they certainly shouldn't be monopolized by a single religious tradition. That is how the Supreme Court should rule in a case involving a town in New York state.
