Previous positions: Assistant to Mayor Harold Washington (1983-1986); owner of "Comedy Comedy," clubs in Detroit, Los Angeles and Cleveland (1991-2000) ; comedy talent manager (1990-2002). Education: Bachelor's degree in political science from Tuskegee University in Alabama (1980); law degree from IIT-Kent College of Law (1986). He is married with three children.
