1. Drive-Thru To Heaven

<span style="font-size: small;">He was Burger King royalty - both in life and in death! A Pennsylvania Burger King gave one loyal customer a final trip through the drive-through Saturday – at his funeral. David Kime Jr.’s entire funeral procession - including his hearse - stopped at the fast food joint and each mourner got a sandwich for the road. Kime, an 88-year-old World War II veteran, “lived by his own rules,” according to his daughter. He considered the lettuce on a burger his version of healthy eating. So it was only fitting that he “had it his way” in the end. Kime’s burger was placed atop his flag-draped coffin at the cemetery. It was certainly a whopper of a funeral!

  3. Woman Breaks Burger Eating Record

<span style="font-size: small;">Hey burger fans, have you heard of the “Stellanator?” Well, we haven’t either! But Molly Schuyler, a woman from Bellevue, Nebraska just made history as the first woman to dominate eating this notorious sandwich at Stella’s Bar and Grill. The “Stellanator” consists of six hamburger patties, six eggs, six pieces of cheese and six pieces of bacon. To top that off, there are fried onions, a mound of jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, two buns and mayonnaise. Finally, there’s practically an entire jar of peanut butter. She is only the 9 th person to overcome the task that over 200 people have failed before her—and she ate this entire sandwich in 15 minutes! It was the 2 nd in fastest time on record, beaten only by a professional eating competitor. The “Stellanator” even failed to fill Schuyler as she finished off her kids meals after as well!

  11. Father's Day: The six commandments of great grilling

Is it a coincidence that the start of the backyard cookout season coincides so neatly with Father’s Day? I think not. Certainly, we men have escaped the grill ghetto -- no longer is that the only thing we’re presumed to be able to do. But equally certainly, it is something that we do love to do, and do often. So we ought to do it well. Grilling is essentially a very simple way of cooking -- simple seasonings, simple cuts, simple techniques. So while Moses may have needed 10 commandments, I’ll offer only six.

  13. Where to toast dad on Father's Day in the L.A. area

Drinking with dad is an underrated pleasure. After a whiskey or maybe a few beers he'll start to open up. He might tell you about that time in college when he got busted for something he once busted you for. He'll tell you how he fell in love with your mom, and about the trips they took before you were born. You might shoot a few rounds of pool, or walk to the restaurant across the street for a burger, but mostly you'll just hang out and talk. Fathers are best at being low maintenance, so this Father's Day celebrate dad by doing what he does best: relax. Here are a few places to do just that.
