    The Edmunds County Special Foods Contest was held on July 11 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. They are given 90 minutes to prepare their recipe. They are judged on 4 criteria: food preparation, nutrition knowledge, creating an attractive place setting, and food quality. Purple ribbon winners have the opportunity to go on to prepare their recipes at the state level during the South Dakota State Fair.
