    Ten years ago, anyone who claimed that the Internet was addictive was labeled as over reactive or even a heretic. The Internet hadn&rsquo;t been around long enough for experts to draw any conclusive results about its effects on the human mind. Now, we&rsquo;re just starting to learn how dangerous the web can be. A new feature from <em>Newsweek</em> &ndash; <a href=&quot;http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/07/08/is-the-internet-making-us-crazy-what-the-new-research-says.html" target="_blank">which can be read here</a> &ndash; explores the addictive nature of the web. Their findings are not pretty. The article even quotes one student, who, after unplugging for two weeks, admitted that his dependency on the Internet was &ldquo;sickening&rdquo; and that &ldquo;media is my drug.&rdquo; Here are a couple more interesting passages from said article:
