  4. INKED! California above all needs more Jello

Someone call Jello Biafra, Californians need him. We need a laugh, because nothing seems very funny in the Golden State these days.

  8. TV ratings show the 76ers are gaining traction

There was plenty of time to fill late in the Philadelphia 76ers' rout of Sacramento on Tuesday night, and longtime 76ers TV play-by-play man Marc Zumoff made a pitch for the first-place team in the NBA's Atlantic Division.

  12. Oprah begins 'Next Chapter' with Steven Tyler interview, mixed results

There is a moment in the first episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter," the new celebrity and spiritual travelogue starring Oprah Winfrey and also her interview subjects, that feels more like something out of "This Is Spinal Tap" than a star debriefing on an ostensible cable network for women.

  20. Ten Minutes For a Lifetime

Ten minutes doesn’t always change a lifetime but in my case it did. That was what was before me and the other 1200 people who were doing this event to benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
