    <strong><span style=&quot;color: black;">Nicki Minaj</span></strong><span style="color: black;"> discussed her blowup with fellow <em>American Idol</em> judge <strong>Mariah Carey</strong> on yesterday&rsquo;s <strong>Ellen DeGeneres</strong> show. &nbsp;The &ldquo;Starships&rdquo; singer insists she&rsquo;s &ldquo;not a crazy psycho,&rdquo; but was reacting because she was hurt that Mariah didn&rsquo;t want her on the panel. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know. It was just two big old divas, I guess,&rdquo; Nicki told Ellen. At first Nicki said she didn&rsquo;t believe reports that Mariah didn&rsquo;t want her there, but as auditions began, she started to believe them. &ldquo;I went there and I started to feel a bit of the shade. And I just kind of over compensated by being crazier,&rdquo; Nicki explained. But the rapper insists she and Mariah have settled their differences. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re fine. I cannot hold a grudge against Mariah Carey,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;What people don&rsquo;t understand is that I&rsquo;ve looked up to her for so many years.&rdquo; Added Nicki, &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know if she&rsquo;s gotten over it, but I have.&rdquo; </span>

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">The premiere of American Idol proved there will be a lot of talent to look for this season &ndash; but judges&rsquo; Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj have already predicted a winner. In an interview with People, the two said they &ldquo;think it&rsquo;s a girls&rsquo; year&rdquo;, but former Idol winner Carrie Underwood is not quick to assume anything &ndash; even though she would love to see a girl take that title! &ldquo;I mean you never know why people vote a certain way. I don&rsquo;t know how I pulled off a win, but my year they said a guy was going to win &ndash; and they were wrong! Thank goodness! I am always excited to watch. I should definitely throw in some votes of my own, because I&rsquo;d love to see another female take it home.&rdquo; People also chatted with Keith Urban, who made his Idol debut last night, about the overall talent on American Idol.   4. Urban Clashes With Other Idol Judges?

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">It sounds like this season of American Idol will be filled with tension &ndash; from all the judges! The show&rsquo;s producer, Nigel Lythgoe, told USA Today that Keith Urban &ldquo;has had rows with each of the other judges,&rdquo; including "a big one with Nicki Minaj." Apparently the two judges have different visions of what they want from a contestant. Nigel adds that Keith is &ldquo;not just looking for a country singer. He is looking for an instrumentalist, a good singer and somebody that can capture that magic.&rdquo; Keith wasn&rsquo;t the first judge to bump heads with Nicki &ndash; her infamous argument with fellow judge Mariah Carey happened before auditions were barely underway. As for Keith, Nigel says he was the &ldquo;scratching post between Mariah and Nicki.&rdquo; American Idol premieres January 16 at 8PM Eastern on FOX.</span>

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">According to The Wall Street Journal, Nicki Minaj, first-time judge on "American Idol" is sparring with former judgeSteven Tyler of Aerosmith fame. The two performers had a bit of a Twitter spat that ended in Minaj calling Tyler a racist. It went like this: Tyler: "If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with Phillip Phillips. Just saying." Minaj: "Steven Tyler said I would have sent Bob Dylan to a cornfield??? Steven, you haven't seen me judge one single solitary contestant yet!" She continued. "I understand you really wanted to keep your job but take that up with the producers. I haven't done anything to you. That's a racist comment," she said in a follow-up. She later added, "You assume that I wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go f*** yourself and worry about yourself babe." That seemed to end it.
