  1. Jewel Writing Children's Album

    Jewel announced this past January that she and her husband, rodeo-star Ty Murray are expecting their first child. The singer-songwriter is now eight-months pregnant with the baby boy and the experience has inspired her to write songs for a new children&rsquo;s album.&nbsp; <em>&ldquo;Some of them are just really sweet, like thoughts and feelings I want to share with my child and others were little lessons that I would hope he would learn and then some of them are just, sort of entertaining stories.&rdquo;</em> The project, <em>The Merry Goes Round</em> will be released this fall. In the mean time, Jewel is getting ready for the May 30<sup>th</sup> launch of her new songwriting competition <em>Platinum Hit</em> on <em>Bravo</em>.
