  1. Game of the Week: Vikings face Lancers in quarters

    The Holtville High football team has slowly but surely progressed since Keith Smith Jr. took over the program in the 2009 season. That year the Vikings finished 1-9 overall and 1-6 in the then Pacific League standings. They didn’t make the playoffs. Last season, the Vikings finished 7-5 overall and 4-3 in league. They also advanced to the CIF-San Diego Section Division V playoffs where they beat Army-Navy Academy, 28-22, in the first round but lost to The Bishop’s School, 54-12, in the quarterfinals.
