  1. Who's the Biggest American Idol Money Maker?

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">The new season of American Idol is off to find the next winner, to land on Forbes new list of top-earning contestants. The show&rsquo;s first-ever winner, Kelly Clarkson, claimed the top spot, after bringing in $8 million between May 2011 to May 2012. Carrie Underwood shares the #2 spot with rocker Chris Daughtry, as they both brought in $5 million. Scotty McCreery has the third-highest Idol paycheck with $4 million, while Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks round out the Top 5 biggest money makers, with $3 million and $2 million, respectively. Also earning impressive cuts - Adam Lambert ($1.5 million), Katharine McPhee and Kellie Pickler ($1.1 million each) and David Archuleta and David Cook ($1 million each). Season 12 of Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on FOX.</span>

  2. Keith Urban in Tears Over Missing Wife

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">When Nicole Kidman attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles this past weekend, her hubby Keith Urban was busy touring in their homeland, Australia. The country star and American Idol judge told Australia&rsquo;s News Limited that he paused his TV on a shot of Nicole on the red carpet and broke down in tears over missing her. He said, &ldquo;I hated the fact she was there without me, on her own.&rdquo; Several of Keith&rsquo;s tour dates Down Under have been canceled after the country&rsquo;s east coast was hit by heavy rain and flooding. He plays Melbourne this weekend.</span>

    <span style=&quot;font-size: 12pt;"><strong></strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">The 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards were handed out last night and the big winner was <em>Argo</em>, which picked up the trophy for Outstanding Ensemble, the SAG&rsquo;s equivalent of Best Picture. <strong>Jennifer Lawrence</strong> walked away with Outstanding Female Actress for <em>Silver Linings Playbook</em>, while <strong>Daniel Day-Lewis</strong> won Outstanding Male Actor for <em>Lincoln</em>. Other movie winners included: <strong>Tommy Lee Jones</strong>, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for <em>Lincoln</em> and <strong>Anne Hathaway</strong>, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for <em>Les Miserables.</em> On the TV side, <em>Modern Family</em> walked away with Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy, with <strong>Tina Fey </strong>and <strong>Alec Baldwin</strong> winning Outstanding Female and Male Actor for <em>30 Rock</em>. Drama winners included: <em>Downton Abbey</em>, Outstanding Ensemble; <strong>Bryan Cranston</strong>, Outstanding Male Actor for <em>Breaking Bad</em> and <strong>Claire Danes</strong>, Outstanding Female Actor for <em>Homeland</em>.   4. Eric Church: Not In Studio Anytime Soon

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Eric Church is ready to release another single from his CMA Album of the Year, Chief, but this one is a lot more sentimental than his latest hit, &ldquo;Creepin&rsquo;.&rdquo; &ldquo;Like Jesus Does&rdquo; is a track that shares a lot of emotions, which is something Eric is still searching for in order to start his next project. The singer admits that he is not quite ready to get back into the recording process, "I wrote a little bit, but nothings looking like a record to me yet. That is kind of how I do it. I write songs, and I as I write them, I see when they start to group together. When that starts happening, I try and to find out if there is a record starting to form there. But, it&rsquo;s not happening yet.&rdquo; Eric&rsquo;s Platinum hit &ldquo;Springsteen,&rdquo; off of Chief, has been nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.     <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert recently kicked off their Locked &amp; Reloaded Tour, and now the two are headed to the Grammy stage! They will give a special performance together, and Dierks says he enjoys collaborating with his touring partner, since they each bring a different style to the table. &ldquo;We both love traditional country music, although our shows and music goes different directions from that. But, in our hearts we still love that music, and I feel like there is some duty to represent that someway in our shows &ndash; especially when we are on stage together.   10. LINCOLN TOPS OSCAR NOMINEES

    <strong><span style=&quot;color: black;">Steven Spielberg&rsquo;s</span></strong><span style="color: black;"> epic <em>Lincoln</em> leads the list of nominees for the <em>85th Annual Academy Awards</em>, nabbing 12 nods, including Best Picture, Best Director (Spielberg), Best Actor (<strong>Daniel Day-Lewis</strong>), Best Supporting Actress (<strong>Sally Field</strong>) and Best Supporting Actor (<strong>Tommy Lee Jones</strong>). Coming in close behind is <em>Life of Pi</em>, with 11 nominations. Competing against both films for Best Picture are <em>Silver Linings Playbook, Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained. Amour </em>and<em> Les Mis&eacute;rables</em>. The biggest snubs of the day came in the Best Director category. Although they were considered locks, both <strong>Ben Affleck</strong> and <strong>Kathryn Bigelow</strong> failed to get recognized, despite both of their films, <em>Argo</em> and <em>Zero Dark Thirty</em>, nabbing Best Picture nominations. (<em>Les Mis&eacute;rables</em> director <strong>Tom Hooper</strong> was also snubbed in the category, although he wasn&rsquo;t considered as much of a shoe-in.) Other interesting Oscar tidbits: all five nominees in the Best Supporting Actor category (Jones, <strong>Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christoph Waltz, Alan Arkin </strong>and<strong> Robert DeNiro</strong>) are past Oscar winners. <em>Amour&rsquo;s</em> <strong>Emmanuelle Riva</strong>, who is 85, is the oldest Best Actress nominee ever, while <em>Beasts of the Southern Wild&rsquo;s</em> <strong>Quvenzhan&eacute; [Qua-VEN-zha-ne] Wallis</strong> is the youngest Best Actress Oscar nominee ever at 9 (she was six when she shot the film). <strong>Leonardo DiCaprio</strong>, who received a Golden Globe nod for <em>Django Unchained</em>, failed to get a nomination. &nbsp;This year&rsquo;s Oscar host, <strong>Seth MacFarlane</strong> received a nod for Best Original Song for his <em>Ted</em> tune &ldquo;Everybody Needs A Best Friend.&rdquo; And <strong>Christopher Nolan&rsquo;s</strong> <em>The Dark Knight Rises</em> didn&rsquo;t get any nominations, not even in technical categories.</span><a href="http://oscar.go.com/nominees"><span style="color: #1155cc;">Click here</span></a><span style="color: black;"> for a complete list of nominees.
