    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Billy Ray Cyrus has been tapped to play &ldquo;Judd Ridge&rdquo; on the <em>CW</em> drama <em>90210</em>. <em>Entertainment Weekly</em> reports that the country star will play the father of southern rich kid &ldquo;Austin&rdquo; in an upcoming episode, set to air in November. This will be Billy Ray&rsquo;s first TV role since <em>Hannah Montana</em>, starring his daughter Miley Cyrus, went off the air earlier this year. <em>90210</em> has already had one country star appear on the show&rsquo;s set this season. Kellie Pickler taped an episode which airs later this season where she plays a country artist, and even performs her current single, &ldquo;Tough.&rdquo;</span>

    The hypocrisy at the heart of &quot;The Hunger Games" is irresistible. Novelist Suzanne Collins, whose trilogy has been decreed "awesome" by, among others, my 5th grade son, indicts violence and organized brutality as tools of mass-audience manipulation.
