  13. 'The Social Network'

One of the best-reviewed movies of 2010, director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin's superb drama recalls the roots of Facebook through the personal experiences that prompted then-college student Mark Zuckerberg ( Jesse Eisenberg, in an excellent, complex performance) to develop what morphed into the wildly popular Web site.

  15. 'Never Let Me Go'

It might not seem like a sci-fi thriller on the surface, but the deeper one goes into this drama based on a novel by Kazuo Ishiguro ("The Remains of the Day"), the clearer its genre-bending cleverness is.

  21. Movie review: 'The Social Network,' about Facebook founders

Across far too many stretches of our moviegoing lives, we see movie after movie without seeing one that really moves. At once stealthy and breathlessly paced, "The Social Network" scoots at a fabulous clip, depicting how its version of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg made his billions — and, according to various allegations and two key depositions, whom Zuckerberg aced out of those billions, while following his digital yellow brick road. Is director David Fincher's film the stuff of greatness? Not quite. But the picture is very, very good.

  23. Reel Critics: 'Wall Street' sequel not hard-hitting enough for Stone

In "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," director Oliver Stone revisits the bad boys of high finance in this sequel to his acclaimed "Wall Street" (1987). Michael Douglas reprises his Oscar-winning performance as the slimy Gordon Gekko. Newly released from federal prison, he publishes a book challenging the "Greed Is Good" credo of his previous life.
