1. Reese Witherspoon talks arrest: 'I said crazy things'

<a href="http://people.zap2it.com/p/reese-witherspoon/53510">Reese Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct last month when she pulled a patented "Don't you know who I am?" routine at the site of her husband Jim Toth's DUI arrest. Thus began the wide-eyed starlet's PR rehab, since she had always seemed like such a nice celebrity, and not one who would play the "I'm famous" card with a police officer.

According to sources, Reese was annoyed at how long the arrest was taking and started talking back to police officers. Cops told Witherspoon twice not to get out of her car, but she did so anyway, and they arrested her. Variety claims Witherspoon then shouted, “do you know my name?” and when the cop said he didn’t, the Oscar winner responded, “You’re about to find out who I am.” She was arrested for disorderly conduct, and she and her hubby were released on bond early Saturday morning.

  5. Man Arrested For Taking Too Many Free Samples

<span style="font-size: small;">Is gluttony against the law? A 68-year-old Minnesota man who was arrested for taking too many free samples from a supermarket has filed a civil rights lawsuit. Retiree Erwin Lingitz says the 2010 arrest violated his civil rights. Responding to the suit, Supervalu Inc. says Lingitz was a serial offender with a habit of helping himself lavishly to trays of free cookies put out for children. On the day of his arrest, he was found to have almost a pound of beef stick and more than half a pound of summer sausage in his pockets. Supervalu’s lawyer, Robyn Johnson, says the store manager “observed plaintiff filling plastic produce bags with the samples or with 10-20 cookies from the kids' cookie club tray, which specifically limits the offer to one free cookie per child." In 2011 a judge said the charges against Lingitz would be dropped if he avoided further legal trouble for a year. The case was dismissed in 2012. But not being one to let his meat loaf, Lingitz is now suing, claiming the food offered was free and as his wife told a local newspaper “you can’t arrest somebody for thievery if it’s free.”
