1. Charlie As President?

Director Robert Rodriguez announced via <a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/Rodriguez" target="_blank">Twitter that he's just cast Charlie Sheen to play the President of the United States in his upcoming movie Machete Kills. The film is the sequel to the director's 2010 action thriller, Machete. Coincidentally, Charlie's father, Martin Sheen, played a president for seven years on the hit drama The West Wing. There's no telling if Charlie will be able to outshine his dad in the role, but one thing's for certain: If seeing Charlie Sheen in the Oval Office doesn't get Americans into the voting booth, nothing will.

  3. Trace Adkins in 'The Healer'

<span style="font-size: small;">Acting is nothing new to Trace Adkins. He appeared in The Lincoln Lawyer with Matthew McConaughey earlier this year, and next you’ll see him in the supernatural thriller, The Healer. The film tells the story of twins who become lost in the forest during a camping trip with their father. Trace will play “The Truck Driver,” who transports souls headed to Hades in a big rig from which there is no escape. While acting may seem like a stretch from singing, Trace says music videos prepared him for the job. “Uh, movies are just like music videos. You sit around and wait for ‘em to set up the next shot, and light it, and all that kind of stuff. You’re there a long time but you’re not…you don’t really work that much.” The Healer is currently filming in North Carolina.

  15. Book a fitting holiday gift for your children

Books for children and teens are not Snuggies. One size doesn't fit all. So when choosing books for young readers this holiday season, it helps to know their style. Maybe he likes roomy epic fantasy novels he can get lost in, whereas she prefers the more tailored fit of a contemporary story with realistic characters and situations. He loves the retro flair of historical fiction, while she craves the space boots of sci-fi. And everybody enjoys a funny book, right? Well, what kind of funny? Slapstick humor—the literary equivalent of a squirting bow tie—or more subtle, sly wit, like a pair of SpongeBob boxers under a three-piece suit?
