"So you learn a lot from the recruiting process, honestly, the way
things are handled, the way kids make decisions, they way they carry
themselves. Lynch was just sort of 'the last person that spoke to him
was where I was going to go' type of thing.
"It's unfortunate to lose him. On the field it hurts a lot more than
recruiting though. The perception recruiting-wise is not going to be
poor for Notre Dame, I don't believe."
Tom Lemming: "Yes, because I think the other schools will use the fact
that, here's a kid from the South not happy with Notre Dame. That
always arises. The other schools will (use it).
"Notre Dame just has to have a good response to it, and they do have a
good response. (They can say) Aaron was a bit immature and it was more
about his girlfriend than anything else. It wasn't the weather and
obviously it wasn't playing time.
"Notre Dame, I'm sure, will have a good response to it, but other
schools will try to use it."
Steve Wiltfong: "I don't think so. I just think that kids make their
own decisions and they're not affected by who is where.
"Certainly it helps if they're recruiting one of Aaron's friends, but
kids leave programs all the time. I know it's fresh in (Notre Dame
