While it's not quite the same as "Cars Land" — the 12-acre attraction that debuted last week at the Disneyland Resort in California — Walt Disney World is unveiling its own Cars-themed addition: A wing of hotel rooms.
The 480 family suites and adjoining pool, themed around the 2006 Pixar film, formally opens today at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
It's the second phase of the $350 million hotel, which officially opened May 31 with 320 "Finding Nemo"-themed suites.
Two more phases are still to come: 320 suites based on "The Lion King" on Aug. 10 and 864 conventional hotel rooms tied to "The Little Mermaid" on Sept. 15.
