Although you may not want to leave the sun and sand, Daytona Beach shopping has a variety of options. From the Farmers Market to New Smyrna Beach, there is definitely more to choose from besides just swimsuits and beach gear--but of course there is plenty of that too.
The Living Legends of Auto Racing, Inc., was founded in 1993 in an effort to recognize, honor and promote the pioneers of beach racing and stock car racing.

The focus of the museum is to present the history of the greater Daytona Beach area with artifacts dating from 5,000 B.C. including the local Native Americans, the Spanish and British colonial eras, early pioneer families, beach auto racing, World War II and vintage toys.

The Museum and Hangar are filled with military artifacts, vintage photographs, memorabilia that have been donated to the Museum. There is also a room dedicated to World War I. The museum's collection includes a MASH helicopter from the Korean War, 1954 Army jeep, 1941 Buick convertible, F-14 Tomcat and a TBF Avenger torpedo bomber.
