American Idol’s Lauren Alaina premieres the video for her debut single, “Like My Mother Does” today on CMT and CMT.com. At the shoot, Lauren says her mom was by her side to help calm any first-video jitters. “I wasn’t super nervous about singing it because it’s about my mom, it’s not like I have to be like singing about some guy and being super nervous about it! And she was there, and there was a cable reaching to this TV and my mom was watching, and I knew she was watching on the other side of the screen. So in between shots, I would talk to her through the screen! I would mouth words to her, and we were having a really good time!” CMT also takes you behind-the-scenes of the video when “Like My Mother Does” makes its debut at 10:30AM Eastern on CMT.
