CBS coasted to its usual top spot in Friday's ratings, with no other network offering much of a challenge to the Eye's lineup.

For the night, CBS averaged a 6.0 rating/10 share, easily beating second-place ABC's 3.7/6. FOX took third at 3.3/6. NBC, 2.7/5, came in fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.2/2.

CBS also led among adults 18-49 with a 2.2 rating. ABC, 2.0, finished second. FOX was third at 1.3, followed by NBC, 1.1, and The CW, 0.5.

"Ghost Whisperer," 6.2/11, put CBS on top at 8 p.m. FOX's "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?," 3.5/6, took second in households for FOX, but ABC grabbed a few more total viewers with the movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," 3.2/6. NBC's "Greatest Holiday Moments" special came in fourth, topping "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," 1.2/2, on The CW.

CBS stayed on top at 9 p.m. with a "Numb3rs" rerun, 5.5/9. ABC's movie improved a little to 3.5/6. "Don't Forget the Lyrics" earned a 3.2/5 for FOX, while "Lipstick Jungle" managed only a 2.5/4 for NBC. The CW aired "The Story of Santa Claus."

A new "Numb3rs" scored a 6.3/11 for CBS at 10 p.m. ABC's "20/20" came in at 4.3/8, while "Dateline" scored a 2.6/5 for NBC.
