Leon Panetta, the Secretary of Defense, used to be the Director of the CIA and before that he was Chief of Staff to President Clinton, so you know he know how to keep a secret.
So then why did he blab this week about new plans for the war in Afghanistan to end next year, a year ahead of schedule; and then said Israel was going to attack Iran this Spring.
You have to believe that he did so with permission from the White House, but why? What could the motivation possibly be. There is a good chance this "Panetta Unplugged" strategy could blow up in the administrations face. Especially if Iran feels threaten and takes action.
