    The state health department confirms the first human case of West Nile in York County.  Residents in York County are advised to take all steps necessary to protect themselves from biting mosquitoes this holidayweekend.  Recommendations include avoid being outdoors when mosquitoes are active, dress properly by wearing long sleeve shirt and long pants, wear an insect repellent and use an electric fan outside to keep air moving and help keep mosquitoes away.  DEP has scheduled mosquito spraying for York County and Lebanon County on September 5th.

    The City of York will be hosting The Quarterback Club of York's 5K Run on Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd, 2012.  The race will begin at Sovereign Bank Stadium at 8:30 AM.  The race will travel east on Arch Street, south on Queen Street, west on North Street, south on Beaver Street to Penn Park.
