Kicking Drama to the Curb
![<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;">Miranda Lambert</span><span style="line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"> doesn’t have time for drama in her relationships and her brand new single “Baggage Claim” proves it! The song brings back the sassy sounds familiar in her earlier tunes. But, “Baggage Claim” is just a small part of her fourth album, <em>Four the Record</em>, which Miranda promises will include a wide variety of styles. “<em>I’m up to four records! This is my fourth record. I’m so excited for the fans to hear it. I’m excited that ‘Baggage Claim’ is the first single, but just like Revolution, not one song represents the whole album. Friends Miranda, Angeleena Presley and Ashley Monroe have long been fans of each other’s music, which is exactly how Miranda knew they were the perfect bandmates. “<em>Sittin’ on the couch, I’m at my farm in Oklahoma, Ashley and I were writin’ songs, and we wrote a couple songs that are now on the record that sort of sparked this idea of bein’ in a girl band. Called Ang — and she had introduced me to Angaleena’s music — and just loved it…fell in love with it. ![<span style="font-size: small;">The Pistol Annies captured the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart this week with their debut, Hell on Heels! Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe say the idea to form the band happened by accident. “[Angaleena] This whole project kinda got started because… [Miranda] Because of ‘Beige’ and ‘Bad Example’… [Angaleena] They had written songs that Miranda knew weren’t really for her record, and Ashley knew they weren’t for her record. They were like, ‘Well, we’re not gonna give these songs away! What are we gonna do?’ Enter me! [Ashley] Girl band! [laughs]” The album sold more than 44-thousand copies its debut week and also landed at #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart. The Oklahoma native drew inspiration for the songs on the album from the summer he spent at his grandmother, Clancy’s, bar when he was 12 years old. “The people in it are real characters. The people’s names in it are correct. The band came on at nine.
