    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">&nbsp;Miranda Lambert&rsquo;s Pistol Annies are celebrating the release of their debut album <em>Hell on Heels</em> today.&nbsp;Friends Miranda, Angeleena Presley and Ashley Monroe have long been fans of each other&rsquo;s music, which is exactly how Miranda knew they were the perfect bandmates. &ldquo;<em>Sittin&rsquo; on the couch, I&rsquo;m at my farm in Oklahoma, Ashley and I were writin&rsquo; songs, and we wrote a couple songs that are now on the record that sort of sparked this idea of bein&rsquo; in a girl band. Called Ang &mdash; and she had introduced me to Angaleena&rsquo;s music &mdash; and just loved it&hellip;fell in love with it.     Miranda Lambert is cutting new music, not only for her next album but for the debut of her all-girl trio Pistol Annies. Working on the follow-up to her Revolution album was a priority for Miranda, following her wedding to Blake Shelton late last month.&nbsp; <em>&ldquo;This last week I&rsquo;ve been in the studio making my own new record then at the last day of that recording we added on Pistol Annies (laughs). So, it&rsquo;s kinda been crazy, all over the map, creatively. But, it&rsquo;s so good for me. You know, it&rsquo;s been cool to have to balance the two and really focus just on&hellip;pretty much just music for the last&hellip;especially the last month.&rdquo;</em> Pistol Annies released their first single, &ldquo;Hell on High Heels&rdquo; last week in conjunction with their appearance at the <em>CMA Music Festival</em> in Nashville.   12. Pistol Annies Have No. 1 Album

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">The Pistol Annies captured the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart this week with their debut, Hell on Heels! Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe say the idea to form the band happened by accident. &ldquo;[Angaleena] This whole project kinda got started because&hellip; [Miranda] Because of &lsquo;Beige&rsquo; and &lsquo;Bad Example&rsquo;&hellip; [Angaleena] They had written songs that Miranda knew weren&rsquo;t really for her record, and Ashley knew they weren&rsquo;t for her record.&nbsp;They were like, &lsquo;Well, we&rsquo;re not gonna give these songs away!&nbsp; What are we gonna do?&rsquo; Enter me! [Ashley] Girl band! [laughs]&rdquo;&nbsp;The album sold more than 44-thousand copies its debut week and also landed at #5 on Billboard&rsquo;s Top 200 Chart.&nbsp;Hell on Heels is currently available on iTunes.</span>
