1. Sir Paul Saved Producer From Drowning Years Ago

<span style="font-size: small;">Superstar British record producer Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera) told Britain’s Live Magazine that none other than Paul McCartney saved him from drowning in the Long Island Sound when Ronson was a child. The now-36-year old producer said his mom had told him the story many times but “That sounded like one of my mum’s crazy stories. But then I did a song with Paul McCartney a few months ago. After a couple of days in the studio, he came in and said, ‘Your mum’s Ann, right? Me and Linda would always run into your parents on the beach in Long Island.’ I told him about my mum’s story…and he said he vaguely remembered something like that. So maybe he backed up her claim, which means I can’t really tease her about it now.”

She worked in radio on Long Island, NY, and also in Louisville, KY, Charlotte, NC, and Cincinnati, Ohio before deciding to come home to Michiana. Shelli now makes her home in Niles with Luke, her teenage son. Of course, a teen means trips to the hairdresser every six weeks to get rid of the grays! Also sharing her home is Binky the Mutt and G-Pig (Jake) the guinea pig.

  11. For Mick Foley, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and others, 'paying dues' pays off

Last weekend I attended the <a href="http://www.pwhf.org" target="_blank">Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony in Amsterdam, N.Y. It was great hearing such heartfelt speeches from legends of the industry and seeing so many familiar faces in the audience. One such face, Mick Foley, was in the audience enjoying the ceremony like everyone else and didn't even make a speech at the event. He drove four hours from his native Long Island to attend the induction of his trainer, the legendary Domenic DeNucci, then left less than an hour later.
