  1. Celebrity Softball Challenge 2011

    Saturday, several celebrities and country stars put on their cleats and ball caps for the 21<sup>st</sup> annual <em>City of Hope</em> <em>Celebrity Softball Challenge</em> at Nashville&rsquo;s <em>Greer Stadium</em>. The event, which is part of the <em>CMA Music Festival</em>, helps raise money for <em>City of Hope</em>, a program that promotes the research, treatment and education of cancer and other deadly diseases. <em>American Idol</em> winner and high school baseball athlete Scotty McCreery was able to bring some of his teammates down to Nashville for the weekend.&nbsp; Scotty and team <em>Grand Ole Opry</em> won the game 9-5. Other artists who played in the game included <em>Idol</em> runner-up Lauren Alaina, Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, Joe Nichols, Julie Roberts and more.
