Indian River Striders (IRS) are inviting all walkers and runners to join them for fitness, exercise, motivation 9 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Indian River Chamber of Commerce, walking a brisk 4 miles usually on the North Central State Bicycle Trail.  Charlevoix Sea Scouts are looking for boys and girls between the ages of 14-21 who are interested in becoming members of Ship 11. Sea Scouting is organized to promote citizenship and boating skills through instruction and practice. Ship 11 has its own sailboat for training and practice. You may be eligible for Earned Income Credit and others (including property tax and home heating credits -- even if you did receive taxable income in 2011. We can help you prepare your 2009 and 2010 taxes as well. Filers must be income eligible (low-to-moderate income). Tax prep sites available in: Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Kalkaska, Antrim, Wexford, Emmet, Charlevoix and Roscommon counties.
