Think hurricane Irene was overhyped?

It looks like it`ll wind up being one of the top 10 costliest disasters in U.S. history and a lot of the damage won`t be covered by insurance.

The price tag is estimated to be between $7 and $10-billion.

The sun is now shining from North Carolina to Maine highlighting the mess Irene left behind.

As the water recedes there`s a long road to recovery for everyone affected. Some states saw critical infrastructure damage like Vermont who lost 35 bridges.

On the bright side, rebuilding could create around 42,000 jobs.

The bad news, the losses from just one day of the storm caused business disruption that could lead to the elimination of 62,000 jobs.
