3. Mindy McCready Denies Shooting Boyfriend

<span style="font-size: small;">Following the January 13th shooting death of her boyfriend, Mindy McCready consented to an NBC News interview which aired Tuesday’s Today show. David Wilson, a 34-year-old record producer, died after being transported to the hospital from the home they were sharing in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Wilson is the father of McCready’s 9-month-old son Zayne. She told authorities she called 911 after realizing he had been shot. McCready is not a suspect in the case, although the Cleburne County sheriff’s department continues its investigation and is awaiting lab results to determine if the gunshot was self-inflicted. In the NBC interview, reporter Andrea Canning specifically asked McCready if she shot Wilson. She said, “Oh, my God, no...He was my life. We were each other’s life." She also said, “I have never gone through anything this painful. He didn't just touch my heart, he touched my soul. He was my soulmate.” The interview is expected to be featured in an upcoming episode of NBC’s Dateline. McCready is best known for her 1996 #1 hit “Guys Do It All the Time.”

  5. Sir Paul Saved Producer From Drowning Years Ago

<span style="font-size: small;">Superstar British record producer Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera) told Britain’s Live Magazine that none other than Paul McCartney saved him from drowning in the Long Island Sound when Ronson was a child. The now-36-year old producer said his mom had told him the story many times but “That sounded like one of my mum’s crazy stories. But then I did a song with Paul McCartney a few months ago. After a couple of days in the studio, he came in and said, ‘Your mum’s Ann, right? Me and Linda would always run into your parents on the beach in Long Island.’ I told him about my mum’s story…and he said he vaguely remembered something like that. So maybe he backed up her claim, which means I can’t really tease her about it now.”
