  1. Blake Wins "The Voice" Again!

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">The votes are in and America has voted Danielle Bradbery winner of NBC&rsquo;s The VoiceSeason Four. The results were announced on the finale which featured performances by Christina Aguilera and Pitbull, OneRepublic, Florida Georgia Line and Nelly, Hunter Hayes, Bob Seger and Cher. This makes three seasons in a row that a contestant from Team Blake Shelton has won The Voice. In addition to a trophy, 16-year-old Danielle will receive $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group. Her coach Blake called her the &ldquo;most important singer&rdquo; on the show and his fellow coach Adam Levine predicted one night before that she would win it all. The show&rsquo;s first-ever duo finalists The Swon Brothers came in 3rd place behind runner-up Michelle Chamuel from Team Usher.</span>

  2. Blake Celebrates Birthday On "The Voice" Finale

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">No matter what the outcome may be on the season finale of NBC&rsquo;s The Voice, Blake Shelton will be celebrating his birthday, as the singer turns 37! He has a strong chance of getting the best gift he may ever receive, as he has two contestants up for the title - Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers. After the show is over, Blake is hoping to do all that he can for both artists &ndash; win or lose! &ldquo;The only thing I can really do &ndash; and have done in the past &ndash; is take them out on tour with me and promote them. Times like this, when I have a microphone in front of me, and talk about them, that is really all I have to offer.   4. Shelton Supports Country On "The Voice"

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">It is crunch time on NBC&rsquo;s The Voice, as the Top 5 gave do-or-die performances during live rounds. Blake Shelton has two country contestants remaining, after his team member, Holly Tucker, was eliminated last week. The singer still feels like he can claim the title for a third consecutive time, with Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve said from the first time I signed on to do that show, that I wanted to try to win it with a country artist. It just hasn&rsquo;t worked out in the seasons past for whatever reason. This year, I just had the right three artists to really go the distance. I had to see one go home last week &ndash; and you get so attached it devastates you, ya know?&rdquo; When Holly was eliminated last week, Blake stood up for his contestant, after a music critic for the Houston Chronicle tweeted, &ldquo;The Voice sends one singer back to Texas. Don&rsquo;t worry, it&rsquo;s not the one we care about.&rdquo; Blake used more the 140 characters to get his point across, but he noted, &ldquo;I can&rsquo;t stand a person that makes a point to write hurtful things about kids just trying their best.   5. Queen's May No Fan Of "The Voice"

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Brian May of Queen has voiced his low opinion of the glut of singing competition shows on television, citing NBC&rsquo;s The Voice as a particularly poor vehicle for judging true talent. In a recent post on his website, May wrote: &ldquo;When we sing, or play, for real, we are NOT screaming at the top of our lungs trying to persuade someone to notice us. The performance is all about EVERYTHING the performer gives&hellip;in voice, in sound, in body language, in facial expression, in intimate eye contact. This stupid, stupid idea that someone can JUDGE a singer by turning his back on him, and missing out on proper contact, is, to me, a fatuous nonsense. And actually poisonous to the growth of young performers.&rdquo;</span>

  6. Shelton To Organize Oklahoma Tornado Benefit

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">At the end of 'The Voice,' Blake Shelton revealed that he's working with NBC to organize a benefit concert for the victims of the deadly tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. The singer -- who calls the state home -- couldn't offer many details, but said it would be televised and happen soon. "We'll know more about it in the next 24 hours," Shelton told Billboard. "I'm hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly." The 'Boys 'Round Here' singer grew up in Ada, Okla., 75 miles from Moore. He wouldn't name any other artists who've agreed to play, but his music industry connections should make it easy to assemble an A-list lineup. He's married to Miranda Lambert, managed by Reba McEntire's husband, is great friends with Kelly Clarkson and works with Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Shakira and Christina Aguilera on the show. None of those artists are as of yet thought to be participating, but Shelton did point to fellow 'The Voice' mentor Usher while saying, "I can call in some really big favors." Tuesday's episode of 'The Voice' opened in silence after a one-hour NBC special on the monstrous tornado that killed 24 people Monday afternoon. Shelton and Lambert performed an acoustic tribute to the victims as information on how to donate scrolled across the screen. They sang Lambert's 2012 hit 'Over You.'</span>

    <span style=&quot;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">NBC confirmed on Sunday that <em>Saturday Night Live</em> writer/<em>Weekend Update</em> anchor <strong>Seth Meyers</strong> will be taking over as host of <em>Late Night</em> once <strong>Jimmy Fallon</strong> moves to <em>The Tonight Show</em>. Like Fallon&rsquo;s program, <em>Late Night</em> will be produced by <em>SNL</em> honcho <strong>Lorne Michaels</strong>. "I only have to work for Lorne for five more years before I pay him back for the time I totaled his car,&rdquo; said Meyers. &ldquo;12:30 on NBC has long been incredible real estate. Each coach will trim their teams down to four artists each, and Blake is shocked at how well the new coaches have adjusted to the competition. &ldquo;I mean Usher and Shakira they&rsquo;re business &ndash; they&rsquo;re in this thing to win &ndash; no question. I think that&rsquo;s been the biggest surprise for me, is how serious they&rsquo;re taking this. You know, where Adam [Levine] and I kind of lolly-gag, goof around, experiment and stuff like that.   11. Faith Splits From "Sunday Night Football"

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Faith Hill has been the voice that opens NBC&rsquo;s &lsquo;Sunday Night Football&rsquo; for six years, but the singer announced that she will no longer be singing the opening song to the NFL broadcast. &ldquo;Amazing 2 have been part of SNF &ndash; an honor,&rdquo; Hill posted to her Facebook and Twitter accounts. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve just let everyone there know it&rsquo;s time 2 let someone else rock the open. Difficult decision. Kinda emotional. Love all u guys at SNF &ndash; I&rsquo;ll b watching!!!&rdquo; Hill&rsquo;s rendition of &lsquo;Waiting All Day for Sunday Night&rsquo; was used kicked off every Sunday night NFL game. Hill originally recorded the song &mdash; which is musically based on the Joan Jett classic &lsquo;I Hate Myself for Loving You&rsquo; &mdash; in 2007, taking over from pop singer Pink. So far there is no word on who will be next in line to do the honors. But Hill&rsquo;s relationship with the NFL goes back much further than 2007, according to Boot. In 1999 she sang the national anthem at the very first Tennessee Titans game at their newly-built stadium in Nashville, and followed that up by singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in 2000.</span>

According to the rumor mill, the singer is currently filming a remake of Owen Wister&rsquo;s classic novel, The Virginian. Trace is said to star as the title character, &ldquo;The Virginian,&rdquo; who is described as &ldquo;a tall, dark, slim young giant, with a deep personality&rdquo; &ndash; IMDB reports. No matter what role Trace plays, he does it to because he likes the challenge. "I&rsquo;m not a trained actor, and I don&rsquo;t pretend to be good at it. I enjoy the process, I get a kick out of it.
