    <b><i>Q: This is a good time of the year to remind people there are two reasons that cars have headlights. First, for drivers to see where they are going, and second, for other drivers to see them coming. It can be dark during both the morning and evening rush hours, yet some motorists continue to drive without their headlights on, apparently because they feel they can see well enough, and they are unconscious of the second reason for a car having lights.
