Sean T. Wiley, 45, whose last known address was in the 100 block of South Ashland Avenue, was indicted Tuesday in the May 7 robbery of the Citibank branch at 539 N. Michigan Ave.
Wiley already had been charged in the May 15 robbery of a Fifth Third Bank branch, 145 W. North Ave., after which Near North District officers tracked him down and arrested him.
In the Citibank heist, a robber walked into the bank about 9:45 a.m. May 7 and told a teller he had a bomb in a bag he was holding, then demanded the teller stuff cash into it. The man received cash, but left the bag behind after it was filled with money.
Wiley, who is in federal custody, also was indicted Tuesday in the Fifth Third Bank robbery.
