LEBANON CITY--—A pit bull is found shot to death in Lebanon City early Saturday morning. Officers were called out to 5th and Walnut Streets around 4:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived at the scene they found several shell casings and a body of a pit bull that had been shot to death, police said. Witnesses told police they heard several shots go off and then saw a silver BMW flee the scene. A short distance away, officers located Kevin Baez, 19, of Reading, sitting in a silver BMW with a gun, police said. Baez was taken into custody at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a firearm without a permit. He was placed in Lebanon County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail. Investigators believe that an altercation occurred inside 510 1/2 Walnut Street and then spilled out onto the street.
